Hi Guys
Wots the best wireless router for a subbed broadband modem, so I can use a second PC in another room. Best in terms of ease of use and cheaper better.

avoid the belkin stuff cheap and nasty signal quality is rubbish im using a 4 port mentor one which is great easy set up aswell literally plug and play

Agree, in my opinion belkin is crap, go with netgear, linksys. I personally love linksys as they are easy and reliable

I would go for any of these

1 - has speed boost but you need the compatable wireless card to take advantage of this, i.e. a linksys card

Or the previous model

Hope this helps

Thanks again, pls wait there, just checking the card on't other pc, be right back m8.

Hope you still there Capdan, the card is a Broadcom 802.11g network adaptor, sorry for the delay !

Sorry I missed you, that card will work correctly with any wireless g router, you may as well go for the previous model

As I say all will work fine with your hardware, if you wanted to go for the router with the speed enhancer then you would have to change the wireless card for a different type. personally I wouldn't bother

Hope this helps

Thanks again Capdan, I placed the order through amazon earlier this morning. There was only 8 quid difference for the speedier one so I bought that knowing it is of no real benefit at this time. All I need now is a 37'' LCD TV which I'll wait and see wot happens after christmas in the sales. Appreciate your help m8, have a merry xmas and a great new year.
