Battery Removal

Guy's, how do I remove a battery from a 1000b, it needs replacing, do I just flip it out (so to speak)

yes but u will need to reset the netid and frequency and pin

Well I tried and tried to flip it out, eventually got it out, along with the battery contact that broke off the board, spent almost an hour soldering the flippin thing back on, eventually got it done with slight modification to it, luckily got it up and running.

After further enquiring about this, I've been told this has to de soldered to remove battery.

Also why are u trying to remove the battery
It appears its similar to a 4001 about 25 mm long

(1) no mate, it's a different box.
(2) The batt was as good as dead. 1.4v couldn't find anywhere to plug the charger in, so thought best change it instead.......lol
(3) Yeah, their both fat and round, see the attachment below!!!!!!!!!

so you yanked the flipping battery out tina............LOL PMSL
 
hi mate
the bugger to desolder, just cut it just above the pcb and solder the new batt from top

LOL.... yep along with the contact on the board.... I didn't know if it was just in there tight or not , that's why I posted a thread asking before i did anything....... it's a shame you didn't reply to my post 3 days ago........lol.:banana: :banana: :banana:
