Backup game prob???

Hi all,i have backed up crackdown but when i try to play it it asks me to update the game first,will this brick my flashed drive or is this normal and do i need to be connected to the net for the update to work.

Some games require updates in order to work - this is normal. Lots of people are playing Crackdown with a firmware modified 360. Doing the update should not brick your 360. The update runs from the DVD, so no net connection is required
