Vplug is a non starter for AU - it will not AU for Nagra1

I am pretty sure it used to until they changed their method last year which is why I am thinking if n older version plugin like snitch works then maybe another older plugin may also work, I found this page with lot's of older versions of Vplug but my play time is very limited, so far I have tried v .04 .05 .06 but the web page I found with all the versions on is down (Knew I should of downloaded the lot!!)

Thanks for that, I am also a member there but I mean the really old (2 Yrs+) versions of plugin like snitch is, the site I quoted had as far back as v0.3

There is no one working on any of this over there.
The snitch I have I think I got from a link here somewere.
If anyone wants an uptodate Vplug you can get one here

Ther is an editor at the first site I gave you but I cant get it to work I am getting a " comdlg32.ocx not registered" error.

(Derby County ...never mind)
I think if my team beats Chelsea in the champions league again we get to take them home and put them on the mantlepiece.

I tested EmuNation, Gbox, and Vplug for days and could not get them AUing,

Vplug would not open the EMM, but good luck if you want to have another go at it.

Snitch is old but then so is the Nagra1 system, it still seems the best option, better than Fenrir in many ways.



It is strange so many people are having problems with ProgDVB?

Some people have it working and AlphaAXP even says he tested Snitch with ProgDVB in the readme ???



I have thought of a possible work around for you:

Use ProgDVB MediaServer module to stream FULL transport stream to the MDAPI.ax filter

http://dvbsoft.net/download.php?view.488 (you also need FFdeCSA.dll)

load Snitch using that and configure Yankse.ini to look for keys in the MDPlugins folder.

You would need to run the filtergraph along-side ProgDVB but you could make a batch to autostart it.

Use GraphEdit to build filter something like:

Elecard File / Stream source [http://127.0.0.1:11002] -> MDAPI.ax -> MPEG TS Demux -> Null Output.

Just load Yankse in ProgDVB as normal but add something like this to the ini file:

[Path]
Key=C:\MDAPI\MDPlugins\.




I used a similar method to do vcg mheg dumps with progdvb + dc-dvbsource and it worked for that,

I would be interested to know if this works.

first post here. whar eeprom and rom.bin file are you guys using.
i'm in dublin pure NThell and and getting lost trying different rom files.
i can't even get the provider to appear in snitch?????
really need help to location of rom files needed for nthell

I'm in waterford and have it working. only issue is the keys change to the wrong ones after about 20 mins.

it would be great if you can confirm if you have the same issue.

to get it to work you need to open the eeprom in toxic, change to ntl then save over the eeprom you just opened.

did you download nicks files? they are all you need + toxic

thanks mate. getting somewhere at least snitch is showing some keys..
still no decoding though. using MP with yankse + mdapi plugin.
where does snitch write the keys to. or does it write them to the eeprom?

the keys i'm getting look wrong as per the "Extra CP"

it's working now. took about 20 mins to find the right keys but is working now.

i'll leave it for a whiel and see if it loses the key again

Right it definitly loses the keys after a short period of time. so I turned off the au.
it's nearly there.
fiar play to all for finding out this an helping me get my htpc back up and working

yeah that issue with the keys changing seems to only effect us irish. I have been trying to sort it for ages.

I think we need a mosc upc rom instead of the uk one. not sure though.

another issue is it dosnt au with mp tvserver, mdapi and vista. only with xp

finally got Progdvb 4.56 to work by moving the snitch plugin and yanksee to the progdvb root folder rather than the plugins folder and I disabled all the other modules except relictepg and scheduler.

And AU working ok now.

Hello again
I found some up to date keys for my provider (5A01) and they worked using yanksee, I then added snitch.
This was nearly a week ago, everything is still working.
Have the keys not been changed or is snitch auto-updating.

delete the keys and test it....better copy the keys first just incase

Do NOT enter any keys etc, just set your provider and save the eeprom.

I'm sticking with Yankse for decode but other plugins will work.

nop, i cannot figure this out. I'm ex CW and ur files just arent working for me. Didn't mess with toxic as i'm ex CW.

I'm using dvbviewer, FTA is fine. But snitch isn't doing anything. Yankse is stating invalid key. Tried all the things u stated above, im stuck :{
