Atmegas not updating

Hi guys been travelling around a bit so unable to loggon as much.
just got back from Vegas WOW
any way just heard that all the Atmegas have gone of and you have to use them like fun cards.
if this is the case Would it be worth investing in a mosc card or are tese going the same way.

if its Telepest there having trouble with the card's updating
