Surly its the URL you add.

Never used it on Apple TV.
But do use it on iPhone without issues.

The URL must be 100% correct.
Its common for typo errors as many miss letters or numbers or add O rater than 0 or I rather than l.
Copy and paste the URL in here:
TinyURL.com - shorten that long URL into a tiny URL
Then type that URL in app.
