Does anyone homebrew? We do....we brewed a youngs bitter and it works out to be £1 per pint.

So get brewing.....

I do, got started with the kits where you get everything in one can.

The brubox stuff is dead easy to make and produces a fairly good pint.

So much better ....you learn a new hobby and it is so much cheaper than any of the pubs or shops.

Just finished my second batch of 5 Gallons. This time I waited and kept it out of the airing cupboard.

Will have to leave it in the bottles for a few weeks then put some in the fridge for another week or so.

U making it from a kit or from original?

Youngs lager kit. First batch was a bit sour, due to the airing cupboard being too hot so it fermented in about 24 hours!!

This batch took about 10 days, before I bottled it. Not tasted it yet though.

well let me know how it tastes....we tried a youngs bitter kit to start with and it tastes great not too strong...but strong enough. Also made wine but we will maybe try from scratch with the wine.

I used to make home brew rum (aka methylated spirits) until I once drank a pint and never touched another drop of home brew again.

Spirits are very easy to make at home but the taste is rather crap.

so that makes you a well spirited person???

Not even going down that road....I am sticking to wine and beer and lager.

There is loads of info on youtube to help beginners...but anyone want advice I am sure we can share it?
