Why a rom10 reva16 card locks up my mates box when it works fine if programmed for my own box.

The only reason I can think of is that he has a damaged card reader that shorts pins when a card is inserted.

There's no real reason why a Rom10 card should cause a box to lock up if everything is working correctly.

Would his box be a Pace 4000 by any chance? If so, and you are programming it using Nagra 4, try using Nagra 3 instead.

pace di-4010, tried nagra 3, still no joy, anybody experienced similar ?

I have the same problem i also have tried nagra 3 plus another rom card which also locks but i done a fun card and it work fine

box is a pace 4010
