Hi Peeps.

I have had my P.C away to a friend to fix as it had a hardware problem. He then formatted it and re installed some new stuff.

The problem I have is I play on line on Call of Duty 4 and I have lost my profile with all my scores/rank etc etc. So Im having to start a fresh which is a bit annoying. He tried one "undelete" prog but it was pretty much impossible to find the file as it just listed( not in any real order) every single file.

Is anyone aware or use a simple program?

Any help welcome.

Thanks.

Ontrack easy recovery pro is one of the best out there.

Bad news, if he has formatted and reinstalled everything then I don't hold out much hope of getting much back.

disk director will. Once, I re-partitioned and then formatted a drive in error when installing Linux. I got Disk Director installed and it found everything for me again, took quite a bit of time, but it found things left over from years ago.

Try either one of these

Getback - http://www.getbackdata.net/
RecoverMyFiles - http://www.recovermyfiles.com/
Zar - http://www.z-a-recovery.com/

No gaurentees but I have used them to recover formatted drives, but nothing installed after format, and have recovered 88% + of the info.

If there is still data there on the disk, and that's a probability then GetBack for instance will find the files and let you know what they are with the chances of recovery rated as a %, if I recall that is.

They are not freebies but they will carry out an analyses and let you know what can be recovered and not sure if it was Zar or Getback will let you recover 4 items as a proof of its capability.
