AMD 64 Upgrade. Advice Please

I have been looking at the NOVATECH site, their motherboard bundles look a good price.
I want to go for the AMD 64. What confuses me is will I notice much performance difference between the socket 754 and the newer 939. The advantage with the older 754 I can keep my AGP graphics card rather than paying out for PCI Express card.
Any help appreciated.

I have the 939 mainboard and an agp graphics card, work file, i think pci express slots are agp compatible, but i would suggest checking before you stick one in.

i think you can get 939 boards with both pcie and agp.

i dont think pcie is compatable with an agp card though.

i brought a Asus motherboard and AMD 64 939 pin processor and i tell ya it works a treat for multi tasking... like explosivo said u can get a good motherboards with both pcie and agp... try aria.com...
