Hi I've got a 1000 Phase b which has suddenly stopped working and now when it's plugged in shows 88G8 on the panel.
After reading I see that this may be a dry joint on an atmel.
could anyone tell me if this is right and also what the best way to fix this is.
I'm alright but not brilliant at soldering. Do I just heat up every let joint on the atmels or is there an easier way of doing this.
Cheers for any advice.

i use a hot reworks station and blow over the atmel legs which normally cures the 8888 if you dont have a reworks station you could also use a naked flame keep it about an 1" away and use the heat from it over the legs also apply some pressure on the atmels when heating over them

if you have a soldering iron with a small enough tip you could probably slightly push it onto each leg in turn. use a magnifier and don't make any solder bridges. < i've done this a few times. i remove with hot air and refit with soldering iron myself.
