Advice required on TV,Phone & B/band with NTL

Whats the best package someone got for the above 3 with NTL after bartering or threatning to cancel the contract and go back to BT. My neighbour is paying £40 per month for tv and phone. This to me looks steep.

The offers they have on the web, is it for new customers or existing ones?.

If he gets broadband/phone, will his tv stop. Will he be able to get chanels using chipped/Dbox etc, if he doesnt take out tv?

best is to keep the phone line and broadnband line. the broadband and tv line is the same feed. so all he has to do is connect a box on that feed and he is laughing. by the way i pay around £20 for bradband and phone line.
