hi guys

i/we have an existing wired network which is working well 5 client machines 1 server and 2 networked printers.

my laptop is part of the network and sometimes id like to use were there isnt a network point, it does have wifi which i have tested on some of the networks in the area, i can log on to 3 networks from upstairs :)

anyway should i be buying an access point rather than anything else !! as i see it i just need a rj45 cable into the existing network.

can anybody suggest any make model etc ?

Yep, pretty much that. Buy an access point and follow the set up guide and you'll be running in no time. Remember to set up the wireless security to stop your neighbours jumping on your network.
