acer aspire

the keyboard and touchpad have started playing up on my acer aspire.
using the touchpad the mouse is hesitant and jerky and the keys only work on the odd press.
ive noticed is that it works fine without the battery in?
any ideas what causes this anyone?

I Have seen other posts on google with very similar problems .

All points to a knackerd batteries causing keyboards to malfunction.

I had a similar problem. It was the battery. see if your bios allows a recalibrate of the battery, otherwise might have to replace it.
