6900HD new patch not showing up

Hi Gang,

I am having a problem with the new patch for my 6900HD combo. I have copied it onto a usb drive and i can see the patch on the usb drive, but when i insert the usb drive into the receiver, the file (patch) does not show up. It's as if there is no file on the usb drive. I have tried a couple of different usb drives but still the file does not show up.

Very strange.

I even tried coping the old 699p patch onto a usb drive but that does not show up either.

Anyone know what's going on with my receiver?

Anyone got a link to the rs232 cable loader that i could use as a backup?

Any ideas?

are you unzipping the patch from its compressed archive first?

Yes, i had unzipped the file. I used the old fashion way in the end.
But i am still puzzled as to why i can not patch my box using the usb way which have been doing up until now...??

are you sure you are in the transfert Menu ? the filemanager menu won't do it.
also be sure you have a fat32 formatted stick !

Bingo!

The usb drives i was using were NTFS formatted -doh.

Found the usual usb drive i use for patching the receiver and yes, that is FAT formatted.
