500s Services and bouquets

Hi Guys ..
is there a way to get me services and bouqets onto my dads 500s so he does NOT need to scan ?
on dbox this was well easy using FTP .
I have already tried putting my services and boquets into
var/tux/conf/enig ... (where the others are located)
but it never seems to pick the new settings up .
or...does it need a full rescan everytime the image is changed ?

Download a program called Dreamboxedit use that to connect to your dm500. Import your services and bouquets to your pc and then export to your dad's dm500.
