4001 no card

talking to am8 of mine earlier who is a engineer for ntl ( or kellys whoever ) and have benn obtaining 4001n s and hes saying hes selling them £150 modded, all channels but hes saying they require NO CARD wotso ever . any1 heard of this how is it done ? he wouldnt go in to detail.

Could be bulls**t. A mate of mine had a box from a trader which appeared to have no card but the business end was still in card reader he,d cut card in half.

i was thinkin that could be the only way , cut card in half so looks like theres no card and a lot easier to sell..
