4000t problem

Ive just got hold of a 4000t which doesnt power up properly, when i connect the power lead the box just shows a load of random horizontal and vertical lines.


It doesnt look like the st chip has been out, so i dont know if a reflow will solve this problem, anyone got any suggestions??

Sounds like a problem with the bootloader chip in some way or another, try reworking the soldering and see what happens, maybe the chip is faulty.

Which chip is that, the one that looks like its got legs missing?

The inside of the box looks ok apart from where someone had tried to attach a jtag with a flamethrower (or possibly a petrol bomb).
