iPhone 3g not working after upgrading to ios4

Anybody else had problems when upgrading to ios4 on a 3gs phone with 3g?
Mine wont work at all on Orange 3g,Wifi and everything else o.k.
Trawled google and some reports that if the phone was jailbroken before (mine was) 3g can be a problem.
Anybody shed some light on this?

Have you removed the cellular data network? Orange were doing this for some reason. Check that you have the settings before you do anything, if it was JB before then you can downgrade back to an earlier fw.

this is a common problem seems to be more geared to an already jail broken phone you can do as has already suggested or just do another restore thru i-tunes this will brink it back. sometimes you need to default "as new phone" then restore back.......it is apple tryin to keep control as usuall
