2000 help

ok peeps
got handed a 2000 which basically someone had tried to remove the amtels and lifted pads,so i cleaned up the mess and drop the attys onto the spare pads,bridged the jumper and got 8888.
so i have erased the attys and re wrote them with a working dump and still getting 8888 lol
is it possible the nvram chip is corrupt or something else and if so which is the nvram chip
any advice appreciated

apply flux and pressure on the atmels and then heat over the legs again 8888 is normally a bad joint mate

ive double checked the attys m8 i usually get em on no probs and ive reflowed em 3 times now but still 8888 just thinkin it might be another problem
