I must say the company I work for have an amazing package in place. We work 4 days on (2 12 hour days and 2 12 hour nights). We only have to do 160 shifts a year then we can have the rest of the year off on full pay.
Here is how it works, we work 4 from 8, every day we do overtime we do not get paid for it, it adds up to one of our 160 shifts. So if we get 160 shifts out by say the end of August we can have the rest of the year off on full pay, how awesome is that? Or we can work any extra shifts we want and get paid again, so in reality we are getting double time if we work overtime.
Imagine finishing in August and naffing off around the world sightseeing and getting paid at the end of the every month for it? Well that could be possible with this company, fooking awesome package!!
Pay aint bad either, I am on the lowest of £17,500 a year, but most are on the mid 20's within a couple of years service for them, once you get your grades for the extrusion machines etc. Add on any overtime and you coining it in towards the end of the year.
