I bought some 12v LED Strips from ebay while back in the hope of connecting them in my bedroom under my wall shelfs but have no idea of how to connect to mains or even if its possible... Works fine on car battery lol any help?

Just got to wires on the end...

hmmm bit pricey but if it works it will look very nice... might look at some led strips to put under my lcd etc.

Roughly how many led are there in total?
they normally require roughly 30ma each so you can run 10 off a 300ma supply and 100 off a 3 amp supply.
I have a 12v 1.5a knocking around somewhere which should be good for about 50 if you want it.

or, 12V 3A FOR ASUS EEE PC 900 901 AC ADAPTER CHARGER PSU on eBay (end time 25-Oct-10 09:10:11 BST) which will be ideal.

Just cut the plug off and connect the +ve to the red and the -ve to the black..

exactly right, pretty much any 12volt DC powersupply will do, ampage is negligable as long as you have enough to cover it, as it will only draw what it needs to run, so just get a 12v DC PSU 4 watt or there abouts will do fine and should run anything you chuck at it.

I use an old PC power supply to get 12V, plenty of ampage for quite a few connections.

I use one in my work shop they have a huge amount if power for the price, i recommended the one on ebay as i thought it would be a little tidier for a bedroom.
