have a look at the spec of the Medion DVD/HDD-recorder - MD 80857, it was about 220 quid if I remember right when I bought it from Aldi a month ago. 160 gig, mpeg4, div-x, direct to HD, TV, transfer from tv to HD or disc etc.

Can you watch one digital channel, when recording another if you are only using one freeview box?

if you can't then the next option is one with dvb built in, but these are £400, which is a bit out of budget.

Can anyone help, with info?
