you might be able to sign up for 100mb trial, you should have recieved a e-mail if you can. There is a link on 'upgrade service' on your VirginMedia page but it does not seem to be working at the moment.
There is a questionaire to go through, nothing major. I guess they have to check if its available in your area. Also your modem / router will need to be replaced by one of their new all in one super hubs.
