hi guys thought i'd share with u. i rang up nthell as i'm paying for their 1 meg service and asked them for a upgrade to their 10 meg service . after a bit of a quabble with the guy he agreed to give me 10 meg free for 3 months as i threatend to change providers cos i have seen better elsewhere. anyway guys if u got it in ur area give it a go. might be worth a try. and also if anyone knows of any site that gives exact readings of broadband speed check pls let me know as the best my speed is showing is 5megs at the moment. cheers guys waitin for ur thoughts.

I might have a go at that
i might get nervous and say.

I haven't got a cloned modem!!! Don't even know what one is!!!?

Just read on ntlhell that they say up to ten meg to cover themselves.

And in some areas it might not be possible to get ten meg.
Heres a site for speed test.
Might not be that accurate but it's so cool:

Cardiff area, 3 meg customers went 10meg today, same day as the notification card arrived :)...usage allowance has been increased to 75gig per month, not that i take any notice of that anyway. Working great here, been pulling max speed all day from a 1gbit .se FTP server :D

1st 128K took 94 ms = 1394383 Bytes/sec = approx 11601 kbits/sec
2nd 128K took 125 ms = 1048576 Bytes/sec = approx 8724 kbits/sec
3rd 128K took 125 ms = 1048576 Bytes/sec = approx 8724 kbits/sec
4th 128K took 125 ms = 1048576 Bytes/sec = approx 8724 kbits/sec

These results appear to be rather fast: maybe this page was in the browser cache.
