Hello all,

Got my upgrade this morning however im only getting between 4-6 meg any ideas ?

cheers!

what area you in mate? could try an optimizer theres a few about just google.

Noone should ever need to run an optimizer in the first place.

@ Joe1989, is your PC connected directly to the modem or via router, if via a router, is it wireless?

What are you using to test your downlaod speed, online speed tests are useless.

lol, it should do what it says on the tin mate.

I know but its Virgin we are talkin about i had to downgrade about 8 months ago from 10 meg back to 4 meg as i never ever hit 10 barely 6, 3 engineers umpteen phone calls, the grandmaster of broadband new guy for virgin still never ever hit 10 mystery lol.

Thats strange when i was on virgin I use to hit 10 how are you testing your speed?

Good way to test is with newsgroups.

Though too local routers before getting to the modem

Torrents are about 4 meg and so are speed tests there has been a slight increase but nothing noticable.
