New Plugins

HI i hope that some one help me.
How can i install PlugIns Manual?
in the Root is not a TEMP !
so where i must copy the plugins?

and some times the Twin is not booting ... i must start many times to will be ok.

Im sure the twin accepts plugins
I ftp the IPK to tmp folder and instal theIPK via software management via menus

as Rat said you can install them via the menus after copying into the temp folder

you can also install via a command line after copying into the temp folder, open a cmd window and type the following

telnet IP-of-your-receiver (then press enter)

itll ask for a login, tyoe root and press enter

perss enter again when asked for a password

type the following, pressing enter after each lise

cd /tmp
opgk install *.ipk

and this will install all ipk plugins that are in the /tmp folder for you

you can also download and install directly, from the plugins menu, select download, then browse for the one you want and press ok

So i install AirPlay Plugin but nö function.
When i restart the Box nothing ok Not booting.
3 or 4 Times i Start the Box its freez and stop all so i musti
Refresh the Image.
29/3 Image is Bad. Not fast nothing.
I will be angry slowly. Nothing is Finish and fix.

what is the airplay plugin? have you tried the receiver without installing any extra plugins, as it could be this plugin causing the issues you are having. with the image 'as standard' the latest 29-03 image seems very stable, and lightning quick, if after installing a plugin you find that things start going wrong, then its a compatibility issue with the plugin and the image

not all plugins are compatible with all images, some plugins that run fine on the dm800 running gemini, will brick the same receiver running a nabilo image, a Duo running openPli plugin may be incompatible with a Duo running a Vix image

ensure your image is stable first, then try to install the plugin again

or, upload the plugin, or link to it if hosted on a filesharing site, and i (and maybe some other members) will also install it on a receiver thats known to be a stable setup, and see what happens

Hiya, i have the airplayer plugin working on the twin, i had to install a couple of extra things threw telenet before it would work, im not at home at the minute but when i get home il upload the version i used and how i did, it is airplayer so you can connot your ipad/iphone to your twin like a apple tv int it ? Thanks

The airplay plugin allows for streaming content from apple / android devices to the receiver.

Just googled it and looks like its kinda of new plugin to stream to apple devices

hiya, this is what worked for me which i got off various other websites threw google, i typed the following into telenet threw dreambox control panel one by one

opkg install python-shell

opkg install python-misc

once they were successful i restarted my box, then i installed this version of the airplay plugin, there are other versions so i dont know which work best as i only had a quick go last night just to see if it would work, i read good and bad things about different versions, but the following version worked for me as i tested a film threw my ipad and my iphone and both worked brilliantly, hope this gets you going mate

I tried to get The AirPlay plugin working on the previous image, but didn't get it working (mind you, I couldn't even get AirPlay working onto an AppleTV3 until I worked out that 1 of my routers was incompatible and the other one needed a firmware upgrade for AirPlay to work on my network).

So, now that you have it working, can you use an iPhone/iPad running the remote app to be able to stream something from a HomeSharing iTunes instance to the Twin?

Hiya mate, i just installed it to see if it would work to be honest mate, i had a film on my ipad and tried that and it worked brilliantly and then i tried a film i had on my iphone which also worked great, thats only time ive used it as just did it to see if it would work, im not keen on streaming stuff i have a xtreamer ultra for all my movies etc, thanks
