Had Tm 800 HD set up in advanced mode Fixed dish with diseqc switch to find 19.0e. 16.0e & 13.0e from my sons motorised dish.

What I would like to do now is replace my sons box with the TM 800 HD to move the dish
all we need are 28.0e, 19.0e, 16.0e and 13.0e

Tried to set it up yesterday and found Astra 28.0e, but wasn't sure how to find the other three ended up losing Astra.
So put my sons old DM7020 back on all Sats still in his memory.

Any help appreciated (although I am searching forum) and found this

Hi , i notice you say setup /simple/positioner.Try this

1) set up- service searching-tuner configuration
2) Set satellite to 28.2e
2) Configuration mode- set to advanced then lnb to lnb1
3) Set diseqc mode to 1.2
4) Scroll down and enter latitude and longitude
5) select usals - yes press ok
6 select tuner config again
7) select next sat ie 13 e and set lnb to lnb1
8) the rest should now self populate - press ok
9) repeat steps 6-8 for all sats you wish to locate

You should now be able to see all the sats configured and scan them.
If you need to fine tune any sat(using positioner) be sure you know which location your motor has stored each satellite.ie on TM2600 28.3 E is position 18 and 13 e is position 1

Somebody must know how to set up multi sat

Rang Technomate they said

Menu - System Setup
Tuner Config - Simple
Positioner
Lat & Long
Usals

Didn't work, went back to advanced and eventually got Astra back
but cannot get other 3 sats
Screen shows Sat Icon flashing as though dish is turning
but nothing
WHERE IS BELMANDO????

do a manual setup.

1) set up- service searching-tuner configuration
2) Set satellite to 28.2e
2) Configuration mode- set to advanced then lnb left scroll to lnb32
3) Set diseqc mode to 1.2
4) Scroll down and enter latitude and longitude no:
5) select position 1- press ok
6 zap back to tuner config =yes
7 select tuner config again
8) select next sat ie 19 e and set lnb to lnb32
9) the rest should now self populate - press ok
9) repeat steps 6-9 for all sats you wish to locate and dont forget to number each sat , ie 28 no:1 19 no:2 16 no:3 etc

Goto a channel on a tp and manually tune :

Menu
service searching
positioner setup

here you should see channel frequency

search east or west until you tune to signal

use step east or west to gain max signal

go to position number: remembering what you set them to in tuner config: ie 28=1 etc.

now press the green button to save position, exit and zap back yes, then follow on all other sats.

hope this helps

Technomate are correct m8,
But do you have a channel list on your box that covers the satellites your looking for,

If you have done as suggested by technomate then just open your bouquets and select a channel on the satellite you require and it should turn your motor to that satellite,

As for 25 views and no help, maybe the people who looked at it didnt know the answer :)

Any e2 channel settings will work but make sure it is up to date , and trust me manual tuning advanced mode is old hat but far better way of tuning in my opinion :Smokin:

What image are you using? The last DWIQ image had a satellite.xml file with Astra 28.2 only.

As posted above, ftp/download the latest multi-sat list and you will be able to set it up as per instructions given to you. Enigma 2 Channel Lists

Thanks for the replies, given me plenty to try this evening, think I will try manual mode as I have tried usals and it didn't work as I said earlier, when I select a channel from bouquet the flashing dish comes up on screen but doesn't find anything, I think it actually stayed pointing at Astra, as when I changed tuner config back to advanced (old Setting) Astra came up without flashing icon.
Hope this makes sense, will print all suggestions and try tonight, sorry about 25 views no response but it did work didn't it?
Regards & thanks

Manual scan
Make sure on correct satellite
select single satellite
network scan yes
ok and wait untill finished
repeat untill all satellites you want are complete easy!!

Tried Manual setup
Result was, Found all Sats 28, 19, 16, 13e manually
then started with Astra 28e looking for other sats couldn't find them but returned to Astra OKAY!
So I tried Simple with USALS
Result was: found 28, 19, 13e (16 came up Tuner not configured) thought I was winning so left alone
BUT when going back down the line from 13 - 19 was okay but Astra 28e slight off tune
So New Question: Can I tune this in manually (28e) so other two remain okay and how do I get 16e up and running
Thanks for help from whitevanman555, wiz569 and forest1

Im 99.9% sure I posted in this thread :err:

change the sat.xml file mate :) either use the bouquets in my siggy us take the xml file out of it and ftp too /etc/tuxbox/

then you should be able to scan all sats :)

Hello Rat, could you point me at latest sat.xml file please?
Also I think I downloaded you bouquet by plugins last time is it possible to do that again with TM800
or download them from here and transfer at sametime as sat.xml file??

Thanks for help

Got it Abu-baniaz thanks, so I ftp that to etc (folder as per Rat's instructions)?
Do I need a new bouquet? or can I scan Sat's myself?

Thanks

The xml file tells the receiver what satellites are available, not the channels. So yes, you will need a new bouquet or scan yourself. (Most bouquets have the satellite.xml any way)

Abu I know this is going to sound stupid but do I need to renew all of this when it's only 16.0e
I'm having trouble with I can find it all right but it says tune not configured??
Also if I'm set up in Simple with usals how do I tweak 28.0e (Astra) so it's fully tuned in on it's return from other Sats

Thanks in advance

are you using a moterised dish mate and by tweaking do you mean moving your dish manualy

Hello Shadow, Yes if I can, the way Technomate explained it was, if I setup using Simple Menu & USALS it would find the SATS itself which it has, but as I explained when I go through the arc I find 19e & 13e (16e Not Configured) but when I return to 28e it is slightly off tune (won't hold HD pics) .
So I am asking do I tcorrect this by way of Long & Lat references or can I alter tune manually and store it even though I am in USALS.
Hope this makes sense THANKS

if you tweak your dish it has to be done at 1w this is your nearest sat to south (if in uk) and if you get this right all the others fall into place. if 16 has no confg i take it your not hiting the sat as it is not as big as 19 and 13 and has a tighter beam(which means if your missing it there nothing to confg). if i was you i wouldnt mess around changing the sat xml as they should be in the image. tune it into 1w put your long and latt in and manualy scan. try reloading the image and start a fresh. look at my post on TM800-DWiQ-2011-11-28 i reloaded that. then ftp this https://www.digitalworldz.co.uk/index.php?threads/258825/ to ect/ppanel this will make your box a lot better. reading your posts mate yours sounds like a dish problem

Not sure if I have line of sight to 1w, will check, but the only Sats I want are 28.19.16.13e
Read your other reply in another thread and you explained to them to tweak longitude .500
Will that not work for me??
Regards

@Riscatto please try not to pose questions to individuals. We are all here to help.

There are two scenarios here.....
A. Dish is out of alignment
B. The satellites.xml file does not include 16.0 in it.

As you are saying not configured comes up, I am guessing it is B. What channel list are you using?
