Hi, I have reflashed my TM800HD with a new image and now when I select 28 deg East it cant find the sat or any other, I looked at the dish motor settings on the wall outside and the pointer is on approx 32 deg ?
I have tried resetting the motor manually to zero (TM2300 super) then reflashing but still the same, I have also tried other images but the same problem - I,m confused - any help please.

From the UK 28.2E would require a dish pointing about 33E (London), 35E (Bristol). Use dishpointer.com for an accurate setting.

However you should check the motor is accurately pointing south at the mid-point. This is best done by returning it to zero, manually moving it 1 degree west then adjusting the clamps for best signal on Thor (0.8W)

Having done that power the box off, power on and use the menus to select USALs and set LAT & LONG. Once you have done that do not attempt to move the dish manually as this would upset USALs. To test for slack in the motor select a satellite to the left of the desired one first and then select the desired one. Note the signal level and then repeat using one the the right. If there is slack there will be a difference in level.

You can also test the true south position by making small changes to the longitude in the setup menu.

youll probably need to re enter your latitude and longitude details m8, these tell the motor where to move to. if the motor goes to 32 degrees east, then your settings sound like theyre set for around 3-4 degrees west, if youre west of cardiff, this would be about right, otherwise, thats the problem

HOORAY back up running,

Cheers Jimux & Digidude - I set the motor manually back to zero then reset my Lat & Long 1.92 west 52.45 North, tweaked the motor on pole to tune 0.8W.
