I think you need to understand why Members on DigitalWorldz are so angry, fed up, annoyed and totally frustrated with You and the TM800HD

you tell our members not to talk about the year gone and concentrate on now, WHY should our members believe what you say ? when you have always said that you have NEVER had a problem even with previous image releases throughout the year?

DigitalWorldz has gone out of its way to better UR_ cock ups adding rytec epg, cool epg to make it look nicer

Digi (with help) has made plugins to make installing my Bouquets so much easier for the end user

Ellie1998 told UR_ how to implement and fix TS files in media to be ignored

jimux made a clean up script to get rid of unwanted junk from UR_ images

fixes were posted and implemented into DW images and added to ppanel for fixes for green screening with HD skins when they were first introduced to the TM800

USB detection was fixed front/rear

Thats to name just a few things people from DigitalWorldz have done to help make this box better

UR_ or TM never implemented ANY of above fixes into any of there image release

not once to my knowledge has there been a public thank you for any of the the work that the DigitalWorldz Team/members have done to make this box better

DigitalWorldz dose NOT support the Tm800 or Tecnomate as a company but what we have HAD to do is make good what we can of a box that has so much potential but so little offerings

I would urge you to listen to the members of DigitalWorldz as this is a know forum for help with this box

I hope I have made it a little clearer why our members who own the TM800 feel the way they do

:)

The fixes Digitalworldz has made for the TM800 hardly merit a thanks anyway.

Its basic, very basic changes anyone in the dreambox/enigma scene could have done.

Apart from the UR team it seems.

its a shame you pick up on one tiny piece of my post that wasn't the most important thing I was getting across

but I appreciate your opinion all the same

I'm sure the members of DigitalWorldz will see what my original posts really stands for :)

all I was pointing out is what DW has implemented and has put on offer that has not been used

in fact when ellie1998 PMd the UR_ Team with a fix they asked him what does he want them to do with it :err:

picking up on what you said about easy fixes, I doubt the members that sit there for hours on end tidying up the code see it that way ;)

Ah well we await this new image from DannM he's been secretly creating for the TM800HD if you have any ideas then please send to here http://www.digitalworldz.co.uk/private.php?do=newpm&u=92243

If by saying "creating an image" you mean, installing addons and backing up the image, then i might just "create one" :D

The following causes a green screen the instant enigma starts, 'Its basic, very basic changes anyone in the dreambox/enigma scene could probably fix it'

This shows just how complex making one TINY change is, this is just one file out of many thousand that make a receiver work prior to an image being compiled

The thread was for Dr Linux to be fair people
and anyone who really wanted to express how they felt, I hoped I summed up how most OWNERS are feeling

A nice summary Rat, but as always others have sniped at the detail. Over on Allsats we have also created a lot of images to test improvements, but have not released them as we adopted the attitude that we could not put our signature to a public release until the proprietary board level software was resolved. But I understand why Digi adopted a different view and released images which improved on the function released by UR.

I don't understand DannM's point that 'anyone in the Dreambox world could have done it'' simply because they have not done so, and many of the bugs I have sorted out have been inherent in the existing PLi code. In fact once Technomate release a sound basic image I shall be converting it into something that more closely resembles professional software, removing the vast amount of redundant code to make the application cleaner, quicker and smaller than it presently is.

Rat/Digi, keep up the pressure.

Dr Linux, work with the user base, take advantage of the skills and expertise they offer to shorten error correction times. It might be a good idea to outline your priorities for problem resolution rather than keep on about the bits that do work. We know you have had to make difficult decisions and sympathize but lets look forward, not backwards.

DannM, put up or shut up - then I'll enjoy reviewing it.
