Hi sorry if this has been asked before but i cant find it, when i update my channel list with rats channels list auto updater it deletes my other satellites and only keeps 28.2. How can i stop it from deleting my other satellite?

the list that it updates with is built for only one satellite, 28.2E, so every time it installs itself, it erases all the other ones before installing itself. it actually erases them after installing itself, but due to the way enigma deals with the channel list and boquet data, its not possible (that i know) to 'merge' one list into an existing one without using PC software and sending files back and fore between the receiver and the computer
I have found that channel lists are often "hit and miss". Unless you are actually a satellite hopper and download a "rotor" package, with all the channels on all the satellites, then you're stuck with one of the following two options:
1. find a channel list package that contains all your choices, and use software to "trim" the unnecessary stuff, before sending it to the box, or
2. update regularly a channel list you like, and manually add stuff that it wipes.
I used to do (1) regularly, but I got tired of it. Now, I do (2) with Rat's channel list for 28.2E, and I manually add the other 2 packages that I watch ("Network scan"). These packages are small enough to be fast scans and alphabetical list by provider is the best "channel list".

I dont use channel lists either or bouquets preferring to create my own.
I have created bouquets that suit my own preferences on channels across 3 sats that i regularly use.i use deamset to edit these.
Once a week i do a full network scan on the 3 sats usually sat morning whilst out doing the weekly duty of taking wife shopping.I then use dreamset to compare the info held on master and info just returned from scan.Any changes that i feel i need are transferred to master and then back to box.
Apart from the scan which takes about 1 hour using dreamset to check changes and make amendments takes about 15mins.
One definite advantage of creating your own lists and bouquets is that in the first instance you will look down all channels that are captured by your scan and you will be surprised at how many there are that are not listed in someone elses bouquets that you find of interest to you and that you can add.
Have a go its not difficult.
