Box Crashed now Service Unavailable msg

My box crashed and now get

Reloaded Channel list but all greyed out...

Havent got backup image so dont want to reflash or do factory reset...

Do a rescan of the sat and then re install your bouquets.
Happened to me on a Vu+ duo and thats what i had to do

the same thing has just happened to me,

everything was working fine, i was updating the channel list through dbedit, i updated it a cuple time uploaded it it was working fine, then i updated it again and then sent the list, restart the box and see that all the channels are greyed out and the message "Service unavailable!
Check tuner configuration!"

i try to rescan however in the service searching menu the satellite section is empty and when i try to change it i get the green screen and the box restarts enigma i think, becuase it doesnt look like a full reboot,

help would be much appreciated

p.s also in tuner configuration it says that nothing is conneceted to the diseqc a/b/c/d, when 5minutes ago i had all 4 sats working

p.s again - after performing a factory reset, the sats come back but wen i reload the channel lists it all goes again, now everytime i send that channel list it f**s up

download the XML file and and replace to /etc/tuxbox

Uploaded XML file turned off and on... Still same message... Reloaded channels again using DBE but rebooted enigma... still same message channels greyed out.

Check tuner configuration and set to 28.8

Lol same here... Will check tonight but it seems strange... Hope the tuner hasnt gone faulty...

I did install the crash log plugin so hopefully I can find that and see what happened.

Tuner is fine mate,it's the XML file got currupt

I had it the weekend when I updated the bouquets list

Changing the XML and the tuner configuration sorted it

replace the xml again mate
overwrite the file or delete the other one first
check tuner config you may need to reboot

Replaced again and instead of turning off and on from back of STB I just restarted from power button on remote.

Lol sorry its been a long day... Everything is now working

just to confirm changing the XML file worked

Yes changing the XML worked but it didnt work this morning when I tried it.

The only difference was this morning I turned the box off and on from the power switch but this evening I ftp'd the XML then used the remote to reboot.

Maybe it didn't transfer properly ?

And that's quite a difference! Do you ever turn your PC off by pulling the power cable out, hmm?

"Restart Enigma" and "Reboot" (even "reboot" from the Telnet command line) first flush the I/O cache, close applications, close any remaining file handles and only then restart.

Power-off is almost guaranteed to corrupt something especially in cases where something was just written to the box.
