TM800. Had a crash? tell us here.

Ok, so youre playing with your new receiver, when suddenly, you see the little cogs in the corner of the screen, everything freezes, and youre greeted by a bright green screen that mentions dumping code. Untill the HDD issue is resolved, it cant dump the crash log to HDD like it says its doing on the screen, this means itll probably just hang in this state untill you turn it off and back on by the power switch.

Now, if you want to, you could take a picture of this green screen, and upload it, untill the HDD is able to store the crash logs, or, just post what you was doing, or trying to do, just before it crashed

There are a few known issues, such as shortcut buttons on some skins, but if a pattern forms with members and crashes, then maybe the UR team can see what to prioritise in their upcoming image releases.

If you could also state what image youre using as well, as new ones are coming roughly every 48 hours (at time of posting) and a new one should be available later tonight from Download center

Well, today I was doing things I shouldn't have and I crashed the box (I was installing various plugins), but instead of simply rebooting as normal the machine lost it's front display and I could not access the MiniRoot. The dispaly on the tv was still there but it had locked up at the 'Starting....' screen.

I eventually fixed it by removing the internal HDD that I had installed.

The only other time I've crashed it was when I loaded on a E2 skin that wasn't edited for the T?M machines.

Image in use was 1st June.

Ok i had a crash was updating keys on West 1 channel unable to clear so i was advised to restart softcam, this gets the green screen etc.........whenever restart cam crashes box

I can restart my cam no probs mate.

Select soft cam works fine, however restart softcam crashes my box

im using 1st of june image

restart softcam did crash my box green screen
but a manual reboot sorted it

got channel list .etc on and cccam running with my line

but no the box seems dead
just says technomate on it

left it powered off for a while and then tried it, it went to starting.... and the pic came on tv starting..... then miniroot...... on lcd
then pic on tv starts to pixalate and go funny

so reboot box then stuck on technomate again

ive left it off again and will see if it boots up or if it pixalates i might get a vid of it off my fone

only thing hooked up is sat feed, power and hdmi

Using the remote, do a factoryreset and go through the setup wizard m8

how can i do a factory reset when nothing comes on the screen
and lcd just sticks to technomate then starting........

nothing else come up

is there a way to flash the box via serial port???

ive got a feeling some how its bricked

@ the guys who's boxes crash when doing a cam reset.....

Can you tell me exactly what you do to get it to crash?
My box resets the cam no problem.

DreamUp doesn't recognise the hardware mate, maybe there is a Technomate equivalent though?

i have june 1 image

Hi witchy using latest image of 2/6/10.........i highlight restart soft cam and press the ok button on remote not the green button and the box crashes

i can crash my box too on softcam restart simply by using remote

@ fez have you tried connecting via scart and loading, i had a similar problem on initial loading where my hdmi lead wasnt seen until after initial setup, loadup just hung until i added the scart.

I'm watching ITV2 +1.
I've pressed BLUE.
Softcam is CCcam2104.
Scroll down to 'Reset Softcam'.
Press OK.
Screen displays "Please Wait while restarting Softcam".
1 second later it has reset and my tv picture is back.

I'll try it on an encrypted channel now....

Ok, I'm on SyFy.

It takes slightly longer as the box has to request the key, but after 2 or 3 seconds the picture is back on my screen.

I also tried this using the Menu button, Menu > Setup > Softcam > Softcam Setup > Restart Softcam.

Do all you guys have a local card?

I'm using shares only, no local.

If you do have a local card, try removing it and restart your cam.

Anyone else noticed that sometimes when you press Blue it takes you to the Download server and at other times it takes you to the Softcam setup? :err:

i can crash my box on softcam restart.the green button does nothing but hit ok on remote and green screen and manual reboot.

@fez have you tried fitting a scart and rebooting, i had a similar issue on first boot up with just hdmi attached.I added a scart and hey presto image booted and i was able to go through set up and then initialised hdmi.

Tried the blue button route and green button did nothing, ok and softcam restarted , tried again via menu route and this time said restarting but only got a blank screen had to reboot.Now both methods require reboot.No local card but watching cricket at the moment.

@ digi, i was watching a slyuk hd movie channel when my tm800 froze, well the picture froze, so i changed channel then after a couple of seconds the cogs came in the top left hand corner then the green screen, we are really sorry etc etc, first time thats happened to me it crashing when i havent been messing with it so thought i would take a pciture and upload it for you in case its of any help

or im using image dated 02-06-2010

ive just rebooted now and all my channel list is darkened out and when i click on any channel it says "service unavailable check tuner configuration"

15-07-10 image.

If I have a HDD or a USB stick plugged in I get the cogs which dont go away.
Running the cronmanager plugin with the time-updater.sh script.
