Hi has anyone tried the Phantom Logfile SW he placed in d/l centre yet please as I'm not quite sure exactly how we use it?
It does seem to be a good idea that we provide Phantom with a log file - presumably to give him a more detailed report (in HIS terminology) and give us better patches?
However there is no comment about it on DW - not to MY knowledge anyway - so if anyone can help?
The file he posted on the other site is posted here for your attention!:Biggrin2:

Hi Holmroad. you mustbe the most persistent TM testing user in here. Always giving feedback :)
to be honest i'm following from a distance nowadays like just checking most important threads and maybe the donwloadcenter once a month ...

maybe some log things for a tm5402hd as this is the only model I have at the moment ?

Hi guys gingerly loaded this file.
Checked Sys info, reads as follows:-

Model TM-6900 Super:
S/W Version 0.05 [Oct 10 2012]
H/W Version 1.00
Boot Version 5.01
CH Version F0 + STD001

No idea what to do with this?

i think your suppose to run it while watching channels and if there is problems the program will log it i don't think that there is a lot of people that have the null modem lead that can have them use their box for viewing the channels at the same time.
I don't for one anyway most laptop have no port for it so you would have to use the adapter form usb to nulmodem wich only works every now and again.

Thanks for your reply mate - at least someone has replied - and to be honest this is EXACTLY 'why' I asked in the first place because even on the 'other' forum (ref Manic!!) Phantom has so far not answered my question THGERE as to exactly HOW we use this file!
Anyone else please?
Regards:Biggrin2:

Thanks mate - I feared so, I even asked Phantom if we CAN use it via a USB, but again no reply from our hero!! lol!!

Digidude probably knows.

ive only ever used a usb-rs232 adaptor for actually sending patches and images to receivers, but, as long as its set up properly, and the com port set, i cant see any reason why it shouldnt work for things like hyperterminal, putty, and other things like this. after having a quick look through the pictures that explain (?) how to use it, whoever made the screengrabs is also using a usb - rs232 adaptor as well

with it being an exe file, id have to run a windows emulator to try it out

Hi manic01 et al,

The latest patches by Phant0m (released last night/this morning) have not been posted in the 'Download Centre' as per usual... have you read these posts from the Feedback section...?
