hi all
after reading for what seems like hours about this box i thought i would just ask someone that knows so here goes . i am looking to buy a technomate 6902 with motorised dish what i am wanting to know is what will a softcam give in relation to channels compared to sharing and is there any difference thanks dwaine

I see your here too you will get pretty much the same answers here as i just gave you on the other forum only this forum is the best for tm users
and you can discuss things a bit more open then on the other forum only thing is on the other forum you stated that you just purchased your tm6902
not that it realy matters but it might be easier to ask questions when you have the tm because then you can bring the answers in practise

thanks again mate yea i am expecting the box in the next day or 2 so asoon as it is in a runnin i will let you know how i am getting on would you say im better of just going c/s straight away thanks again

If you havent bought your TM yet dont bother get a DM you will find it easier to use and get alot more support !!!

i have bought it but im sure i could suprise my dad with a bday present how much easier is the DM to use and what will i have with c/s or again will i be better of doin that from the start

I've been using the tm's for a few years now and using c/s for about a year now i find it very easy to use once you know how to and the support from other tm users has been great on this forum and you will also get regular firmware/patch updates from technomate
I have to say i'm happy with my tm's ,yes there will be day's where things go wrong but this happens with any of the recievers they all have their problems or bugs.

thanks again mate i will stick with my tm well when it comes i will and i will look in c/s from when i get it rather than later im sure i can get to grips with it once i understand what all the terminoligy is

Depends but the DM has alot more images and support and less technical issues then the TM, Im not sure about the TM6092 but the TM team are wipping out boxes with no propper support and they have lots of issues with images, basically you have to follow what they say, there boxes are only compatable with certain hard drives, some of there boxes dont work with Cccam, basically your pissing in the wind buying a TM, you dont know what problems your gonna get and the support is poor.

Oh I forgot they have got a phone number when you run into trouble though. So its all good

The tm's your talking about would be the linux based one's and i have to agree with you there ,support is very bad for them
but the tm6902 is non linux (closed source)and much easier to setup then a dm very little problems for me sofar anyway

im guessing from that that your not a big fan lol what does the dm give me without c/s does it give you more option than the tm im sorry if im an annying little beep but i really dont know to much about any ov these boxes thanks again. . . . . may aswell stick with me tm as from what i have read they sound good for me but like i say i know nothing about these but thanks again

I didnt know the TM 6902 was a (closed source box) as I said I dont know much about the 6902, maybe TM should have stuck to making closed source boxes because then, there linux boxes suck big time.

he just letting of steam at the moment and yes he's right about the linux based tm's but the non linux ones don't have any problems
As for the linux based recievers tm or dm you will have to have a bit more knowhow then on your tm 6902

more words that i dont understand linux maybe im in to deep here i will soon find out when it gets here

i be useing TM68/6900HD Super for 2year now and i never had no problems on patch 726p CCcam c/s Works 100% at the monment i am testing from afriend of my and he is useing oscam @ 39° East Bulsatcom Bulcrypt and the tm is working fine with it wont i thing they are very good receiver for me

thanks for letting me know i feel a lot better about this box now and feel more than happy that if i need the advive i will get plenty of it here thanks again to everyone who has helped

To be fair I don't think people have any problems with Technomate standard receivers, its the Linux one people seem to have issues with
