BT Sport

hi guys i have had to changed server yesterday due to the one i was using has now finished. Anyway i never had Bt sports, espn or setanta sports from my last server so the one i am with now has got it, i tuned in bt sports 1 2 HD and Espn hd onto 12574 H 23000 and Setanta sports on 12633 h 22000, now when i goto the channel it says scrambled channel, i have been in touch with my server and he says everything is ok his end. when i had a test line from him again they wasnt working for me then. all the other channels are working fine. i have never had this problem before is there something i have missed

any help will be grateful

i have a fixed dish using a tm 5402hd box,

Its the server end, if all else works ok then theres nothing you can really change on the TM5402.

yip server end needs to change settings for BT Sport if indeed he has it

hi marlin67 wish i could help you but i have on idea, going to try another test line from a different source and see if that helps

an update i have tried 3 different test lines now all saying they have bt sport yet i cannot get it on any of the test lines. so i havent a glue now

Hi mate which tm 5402 is it the m1 or m2. I have had this problem with other channels on the tm5402 M1 try reinstalling the patch it worked for me i use 117p. Why some channels do this i dont know.

I have the m1 and M2 and no issues with either.

Patch has nothing to do with your server not carrying bt sport.
Make sure the apids vpids are correct.
Delete the tp and rescan and then check pids.

hi Manic01 i have done as instructed, now my vpids and apids are as follows for the channels but still getting a blank screen
Bt sport 1 HD vpid 2332 apid 2333 ppid 2332
Bt sport 2 HD vpid 2337 apid 2338 ppid 2337
Espn HD vpid 2342 apid 2343 ppid 2342

i check these from another site but would be great if you could double check them for me

The TM5402 works ok, so I'm sure it's the lines.

Hi manic01 thats a good point and I will try that but I have now had 4 different test lines and all of those dont work witj bt sports and all say that they have bt sports so could it be me who knows.

Maybe not mate but its seems a strange how some boxes seem to be i have had it where some channels can take a minute or so to clear where as others clear instantly.

i have a similar problem with sly 1 & 2

can you not try an automatic full scan instead of manual scan to see if it brings the channels in.

Do you get a good signal on BT Sport 1&2 HD?

I have found that there are problems with frequencies above 12500 or so with the TM, it seems that the signal is too strong and needs an atenuator.

I have 2 Openboxes and BT Sport/ESPN show no problem, however, using the same sealion the TM will not pick up these channels, I have friends who all have the same problem.

Mine is a M2 but I have tried all the different Phantompatches to no avail.

I have a 6db atenuator which is connected to my broadband I have added to my tm 5402 and for me it hasn't worked. Do you think Ineed a stronger atenuator
