usualy something to do with the server you connect to but it could be a lot of things, like your router, broadband suply were you using other devices on your network ect.

Nothing at the time the other two servers when I tried them were the same but after the reboot all were ok, of course was not running all 3 at the same time.
Broadband ok its fibre optic and for a change was ok.

did it happen in the nighttime a lot of servers would reboot their server then when the least users would be on

@popssad

Being new to the 5402HD as well, and trying to get CCAM to work but without any result, could you point me in the right direction?
Have applied patch and addon, can access youtube and internet radio, so there is no problem on the internet connectivity.

Filling in CCAM details manually leaves everything on disconnected, trying to get this sorted via csinfo.txt loads the 2 first connections of 5 and they stay on disconnected as well.

From what I read here and on other forums configuring CCAM shouldnt be this much of a problem?

are you trying to connect to free servers ?
and are you sure your filling in properly as by example
example c-line C: www.c-line.no-ip 22000 FOX1234 test2 no

break the c-line up in 4 pieces at the spaces between the wurds and numbers
do not put this in the tm because it will not get connected
allways miss this > C: > no
example, they like(goto your server menu press 8281 while watching a channel)

Protocol CCCAM

Timeout: 3Sec

3) ID: FOX1234

4) Password: test2

1) Address: www.c-line.no-ip

2) PORT: 22000

I started of with free servers, but, as that provided no progression I took a leap and purchased a months subscription from umbrellasharing, just to rule out being on a dodgy or not available server.

I used the C: lines in the format as you provided, but still no progression.

Is it possible I have missed something while installing the patches?
Is there a factory reset, channel list clearance or loading a certain channel list in a certain point in time?

As a side note, manually adding CAS keys opens up some channels

don't talk to much about where you get your servers from this is not allowed
the thing about payservers is you can test most for 24hrs for free so it's a bit silly to buy without knowing if it's working for you or not
make sure that dhcp auto is on in the ip settings menu and that in optionmenu sssp or au is off

ah I didnt read that in the legal stuff when I joined

Got it sorted though :Bounce:

The issue was in not changing the default password from 0000 to something different.
For the installation phase I kept the default.

did the whole routine, factory default, load patches, load csinfo and no joy.
changed the password to 9999 and solved

i don't think that was the problem i'd say it was the recievers reboot that reset your connection my tm's work fine with default password
you do have to give it some time to get connected i takes usualy about a minute after starting the reciever
Glad you got it working anyway

nah I doubt it, did wait a couple of minutes before changing the password, anyway its working and i'm not going to experiment now its working
other question, how many cccam servers can the tm-5402 connect at once? is the tm5402 satisfied if it can connect to one?

Have 6 servers configured, but only 1 connects

at the same time?
I have 6 servers configured, 2 free servers and 4 from a one months subscription.
(yeah I know a subscription is considered silly, but when fiddling about with a box with patches without complete documentation, I need some assurance in the process)

The box only connects to 1 of the 4 subscribed servers, none of the other 3 subscribed servers nor the 2 free servers
I used a csinfo.txt and changed the c-line information, do I need to change the value of the admin\filter mode\filter index\timeout?

are they all c-lines and setup as cccam or are some n-lines that would have to be setup as newcamd this is some thing you can change or play with manualy with your remote and free servers usualy don't last or don't connect because they would be overloaded

all c-lines, i figured about the free servers, exactly why i got the paid ones in, the TM 5402 is just a bit dodgy on the cccam functionality
found out the TM5402 is not capable of receiving the Dutch canal digitaal HD channels as well, due to transponder frequency incompatibility on Astra 23.5 E

ill stop spending time and move on to a better receiver, thanks for helping me out though

I have no problem getting the dutch channels hd or sd on my tm's with cccam they work very well actualy
should be the same on the tm 5402 they broadcast mpeg 4 and the tm's are well able for that

have no problem too getting the dutch channels hd or sd on my TM68/TM69/5402 they stay on for 13hours to 15hours aday as long as you have a very good server

After trying various methods it finally all boiled down to the way that the patch was installed normally I would have done a Factory reset then installed the patch and extras.

But after following thijss26 method it all worked first time now no freezing or glitches on the servers and all info entered into cccam worked and connected first time unlike previous attempts.

Back up channel list
Factory reset
Apply tm original firmware
Factory reset
Apply phantom patch
apply add on patch(no need to do this but it will do no harm)
reload channel list
apply softcam keys
Rescan your channels
C-lines will remain unless you reset them yourself
Hope this helps

Thanks m8 good instructions to follow .
C-lines were reset and added manually so as to avoid any problems that might be present.

just to add there is only no need to load the addon patch if you have done this before with loading of previous patches and the method was adviced to me by phanth0m and digidude
