Can somebody please confirm the following procedure is correct to apply this new patch as I have spent a lot of time making my own channel list on my new 5402HD so don't want to lose it.

Back up channel list
Factory reset
Apply phantom patch
apply add on patch
reload channel list
apply softcam keys

Also, will cccam details( c lines) be erased and need filling in again?
Many thanks in advance

The way they would advice is

Back up channel list
Factory reset
Apply tm original firmware
Factory reset
Apply phantom patch
apply add on patch(no need to do this but it will do no harm)
reload channel list
apply softcam keys
Rescan your channels
C-lines will remain unless you reset them yourself
Hope this helps

I have successfully applied the patch following the procedure above, including the factory reset :THANKS:

However my 5402 crashes as soon as Ethernet cable is plugged in VIA router(netgear wpn824 V2 updated to latest s/w) if plugged to modem(virgin) directly then everything works fine...any ideas? many thanks.

I have no problem with crashing but I would suggest to Put in a fixed IP and try like that.
I do not like DHCP ...
As Maybe you are using a conflicting Ip adress on the network ?(= crashing can occur)

Will try, how can this be done?

This is why I do not like DHCP, automatic IP settings as People do not know how it works ....

Well it depends of course of your setup on the network.

I would connect a Laptop/pc with ethernetcable=networkcable onto your router / switch/ cablmodem / adslmodem...

And you could type in your Command windows (windows)
ipconfig /all

You will get all info about your current network and ip that is used.
Do not use that Ip as it is taken. just take another one.
Example PS/Laptop: Fixed IP 192.168.1.10 SUBNET 255.255.255.0 DNS 192.168.1.1 GW 192.168.1.1
For TM take then 192.168.1.50 or something, the rest you can copy.

After that, you should just taken an ipadress that is not used
copy DNS.Gateway & Subnetmask settings into your TM.

this sound intresting im having problems on 5402 like this,if i turn dhcp off and then enter as follows should this fix the disconnecting problem.
line==ipaddresss address of box
line2 subnet
line 3 gatewaY
LINE 4 DNS GET DYNDNS ADDRESS SETUP AND ENTER HERE
MAC ADDRESS????

IS THIS CORRECT FOR SETTING OF NO DHCP???
