i was playing around today with an old tm500 that a friend of mine has had for years, everytime I would visit him he'd be watching at the races but every few minutes it would freeze for 8 seconds, no less no more, it didn't bother him all that much but it drove me soft as it was connected to my server, anyhow I read somewhere that the 8 seconds was probably cos it missed a full CW cycle and I also read that Mgcamd is more stable than Cccam (thats what we were using to decrypt) so today I switched him to mgcam and after reading through several posts etc I got it working.
My question is in the newcamd.list file it says CWS_INCOMING_PORT = 21000 I changed this to a random port and used the same in my oscam config on server etc but how can I add another line to his box using a different port number for a different server.
I'm useless at getting my point across so hope it makes some sense,

Ok got it sorted, I reckon the port 21000 is for incoming connections lol

Just an update on this, the set up here is a dm500 as server with 0963 card, wireless internet link to my mates house about 1km away, (he has the internet connection, we share that also) he has 2 e1 receivers there, I use oscam on the server and cccam on client boxes and have had the freezing problem (8 seconds) from day 1, I changed his tm500 receiver to use mgcamd 1.35 instead of cccam the other day and voila the freezing has all but vanished so it's clear in my opinion that on a tm500/600 mgcamd out performs cccam

Are you using a c line still but through mgcamd instead of cccam on the receiver?

CCcam has been poor for a while never use it now personally

its all I ever needed to know apart from when the few channels wouldnt clear without using oscam was just using oscam as server and cccam for clients but it was freezing a lot lately so tried Mgcamd and quite happy with it.
