TM500 help please

Hello all, i have a tm500 flashed with UR23 image, all is fine but i have come to a brick wall now that i am trying to put cline into box, any help with this would be much appreciated. how do i connect to box? do i use an ethernet, crossover or the rs232? i am new to linux sat boxs and i have been trying to find a thread that would point me in the right direction. i have found free servers to test and clines to test i am just having trouble connecting to them.
My tm500 is connected to router through ethernet cable so i am connected as i can download keys, addons and so forth so i only have this last hurdle to jump.

You can enter C lines via the miniweb or using an FTP client such as DCC or Filezilla.
IMHO use DCC as it cuts the mustard.

If you are not au fait with picking your way through DCC then you could use this neat little programme for editing your CCcam.cfg file and adding F or C lines (thanks to bod for sharing) roud:

hello mate got that program working ok many thanks. just 1 question though it saves to my desktop is that normal?

That's where it is with me and I have no issues with that as I use it regularly so desktop is fine with me. Have you enetered a C line into it yet and does it work ok?

entered cline and fline into it but when i look in var/etc through miniweb it says none so i dont know if i am doing it right. i am connected as i can change all channels etc from laptop but stil do not have any services unscrambled on 28e but if its not putting them into box nothing would work anyway, many thanks in advance

Why are you entering an f line into it, are you set up as a server?
If you are a client box you only need a C line which goes into the CCcam.cfg file which you will find in the var/etc folder.

Which version of CCcam have you loaded ??
