Hi guys noob question,

just purchased this box and im looking to know what firmware and software to install on it? Is there any setup guides?

Looking forward to getting it up and going big stepup from the F3

Thanks

I find that openvix is best image/firmware I have tried. As for setup guides email/ring technomate and ask them to email you their pdf setup guide.

As above, I find MGcamd to work better if it's an option if not oscam mate

Yeah got it setup with openvix and MGcamd working a treat

it's a nice box, but they've discontinued it now, the twin-oe has come down in price though.

Might look into getting 1 for myself, where is best place to pick 1 up

untill its officially stated on technomate.com, then its a current, and supported receiver.

Of course they will want to off load current stock before any official announcement is made ?

Discontinued? - seen this in couple of forums but nothing's official. Will wait to see what answer I get back from technomate support. If it is discontinued I believe the TM-Twin is the same, so maybe the images/firmware for that would suit this machine.

the (lack of) support news directly from technomate for the last few years, has been a joke, more than a joke. ive beaten the drum for TM for a LONG time, and, half heartedly, still do, but, i no longer believe ANYTHING i read on ANY forum or website, or anything im told via email, over the phone, or even face to face, no matter WHERE it comes from (even if that means 'from the horses mouth' as it were). Instead, i read what gets released in code, that makes the receivers work, and this generally tends to be at least 15 months ahead of anything that even 'the horses mouth' knows, and, from reading this onformation, id say that the 2T is a while away from being 'discontinued' as if that happened, then the twin, single and nano would get discontinued at the same time, and with the twin being the best seller linux machine for them, i cant see this happening. The code says theres 2 new machines in the pipeline, along the same routes as the Solo2 has gone, and, it looks (they look) like a very impressive bit of kit, but, this information has been there for over 6 months, so its only a guess when (if) it becomes real (a test hardware model already exists, as well as a few different images for the receivers)

Ive given up forum posting about whats 'happening' with TM for a while now, as the only thing it did, was make me look a dick, even if the info came from the top, and instead, started blogging it all instead, that way, theres no forum issues, i dont care if it upsets people, and if anyone gets sues for 'leaking' information, then theyre free to sue me for every penny i have, both of them.

Untill the price of a 2T drops to something daft, like £120 (its the highest powered broadcom 7335 E2 receiver on the planet at the time of posting, and has been since its release) then id say its safe to say, its supported, somewhere or the other, no matter how small, and will continue to function
