the (lack of) support news directly from technomate for the last few years, has been a joke, more than a joke. ive beaten the drum for TM for a LONG time, and, half heartedly, still do, but, i no longer believe ANYTHING i read on ANY forum or website, or anything im told via email, over the phone, or even face to face, no matter WHERE it comes from (even if that means 'from the horses mouth' as it were). Instead, i read what gets released in code, that makes the receivers work, and this generally tends to be at least 15 months ahead of anything that even 'the horses mouth' knows, and, from reading this onformation, id say that the 2T is a while away from being 'discontinued' as if that happened, then the twin, single and nano would get discontinued at the same time, and with the twin being the best seller linux machine for them, i cant see this happening. The code says theres 2 new machines in the pipeline, along the same routes as the Solo2 has gone, and, it looks (they look) like a very impressive bit of kit, but, this information has been there for over 6 months, so its only a guess when (if) it becomes real (a test hardware model already exists, as well as a few different images for the receivers)
Ive given up forum posting about whats 'happening' with TM for a while now, as the only thing it did, was make me look a dick, even if the info came from the top, and instead, started blogging it all instead, that way, theres no forum issues, i dont care if it upsets people, and if anyone gets sues for 'leaking' information, then theyre free to sue me for every penny i have, both of them.
Untill the price of a 2T drops to something daft, like £120 (its the highest powered broadcom 7335 E2 receiver on the planet at the time of posting, and has been since its release) then id say its safe to say, its supported, somewhere or the other, no matter how small, and will continue to function
