Does anyone know if there is any significant difference between the black and silver N95s, appart from the obvious colour. As usual T-Mobile are a century behind with thier hand sets and only the silver version is available.

The black is supposed to be the 8GB version.

Main difference is the black has 8gb memory built into the phone, this has its advantages and disadvantages... E.g if you have problems with the phone or it crashes, you will probably loose everything on the phone as there is no memory card support.

The 8gb also has a clear plastic over the screen, which the original doesnt.

the black N95 software is more stable than the N95 which often crashes......

The 8GB version also has a slightly larger screen

although the latest nokia firmware for the n95 is very stable

Lol, the black edition is not more stable at all... We get them in each day for firmware upgrades because they crash... All phones have some bugs, the smarter they get the more bugs they will have, however the N95 original as it has been out longer it is more likely that the bugs will be ironed out in the latest updates...

cheers guys I got the silver version with the 8 gig mem card best phone ever I've been a loyal Samsung user for years but nothing compares to this phone.

Exactly how I feel mate, I love the phone myself... I think it would be the perfect phone, if they made it slightly thinner and improved the battery life, it would really blow anything else away... Have a look for some cool apps you can download which use the accelerometer :) I been playing with the Jedi Lightsabre app all day :)

Or try Space Invaders http://www.symbian-freak.com/news/007/11/gaming_with_nokia_n95_using_accelerometer.htm
