looking to show whats on kodi on my windows 10 pc to my LG Smart tv

Hi.

Happy new year all.

im looking to show whats on kodi on my windows 10 pc to my LG Smart tv
i dont have widi on the pc, i can stream from my phone to tv as i dwnloaded miracast but not from my pc.
theres a lot of these things about, at prices of £30 ish but seen this on ebay, would this work, dont want to spend a lot in case its not as good quality as im expecting.

Wouldn't you be better of just setting up a Kodi client using something like a Pi or Fire TV / Stick and pluggin it to the back of your TV. Wouldn't bother going to the mirascreen route at all. Have a direct connection. Keep all your data files on a NAS drive and access like that. Otherwise look at Plex which is probably already available as an app on your tv.

ive got access to plex on the xbox and tv but that just gives me access to what ive got on my hard drives on my pc, or am i missing something, can i stream football from it

Get access to a plex server. I'm not sure who's best to go with however. Maybe someone else can help with that.

id rather stream from my laptop personally

You can run plex server from a windows pc in background, than connect like that on your xbox etc. However if your looking for streams then your better off going with kodi and looking at installing some add-ons.

thanks, i do have plex on the xbox one and on pc, never use to be able to see from xbox but since plex has changed i can, but yes was meaning football as a example, i can hdmi my laptop to tv and watch from there, was just wanting to do with main pc, i'll maybe try a mirroring device, seen some on ebay that are pretty cheap
