now tv/plex

i recently got a now box to play about with.
ive installed plex on the box and my laptop.
but i need to know how to put addons etc on.so i can watch latest films and sports.
if there are any tuts or advice then i would appreciate any help.

Just put 'Plex' in the search box and fill your boots. There's loads of stuff to sift through.

if all you wanted the now tv for was to stream films and sport from video ons, in my eyes you have purchased the wrong device, you should have bought maybe the new raspberry pi 2 and used kodi, then you wouldn't need to have your laptop on all the time you want to use plex.

dont get me wrong plex is great but for video add ons and finding the stuff you require you would have been far better with a device with kodi on.

not ideal info i know considering you have bought the now tv box, but info none the less.
anyway heres a video of how to add your channels to plex, its really straight forward to do, not sure what channel addons are about these days for plex but this video explains what you need to do and where to put the files in the plex media server folders. hope it helps.

Completely agree with Big-Hol. I got pissed of having to have the PC on to watch live channels and now the NowTV is gathering dust sitting next the pi/Raspbmc which does the lot with style.

thanks guys, i managed to install a few plug ins in the correct folder. now i need to find out where to source all the good plugins so i get live footy etc. any advice appreciated.
I have just purchased a smart tv so i am hoping i can keep plex open in my browser so my server will always be active as long as the tv is on . Will that work?

I use TSN Go plug in with Plex for sports including football, quality is good, and no vpn needed. I built a Plex Channel for TSN Go (the live TSN1-5 feeds). : canadacordcutters

Another one to install is Unsupported Appstore, but it's unavailable at the moment, if you google it you can find more info about it.

Rarflix is just a branch of Plex, and is no longer being developed as the developer now works for Plex. Have fun!
