How do i stream my PC to TV not wirelessly?

Hi

I want to mirror my PC monitor to my TV so that i can show my Girfriend the PC game im playing
But i can not connect my PC to my TV via a cable (HDMI or DVI etc) its not a option as we have decorated and i can not run anymore cables
I can only connect it via Ethernet powerlines

My setup is

LG 42" Smart TV 3D connected (ethernet) to:
Netgear Dualband ADSL 4 port router connected to (ethernet):
Devolo 500AV Powerline 3 port switch ethernet

Windows 7 PC connected to:
Devolo 500AV ethernet powerline (links to the above powerline)

I also have a brand new Google TV box with the latest RK3288 chipset connected to my TV via HDMI
It has XMBC installed and what looks like Airplay, i can get any app from play store paid or free if required
It can connect to my home network via ethernet or wireless

With all this gear there must be a way to stream my pc screen to the TV? i know you can do it with wireless and airplay but i dont want to do it wireless i only have a wired network
I would Hopefully like to do it with sound but i can live without if necessary

Im thinking setting up a VNC server on your PC, then you would need a VNC client on your TV. Iv never even seen a smart TV yet, but if it has IP conectivity I cant see why you couldnt.

Ah yeah good idea i have used vnc to control mac servers in the past on pc's
and there is a vnc viewer app on the play store
will give this a try thanks

Unless your games run at 5 fps, you are going to find VNC very slow.

You could try wireless HDMI

Was also going to try VLC as that also sends sound

Have you considered live casting? For example Twitch TV, or a private ("unlisted") Google Hangout.

Iv used VLC stream to access webcams over the LAN and it worked very nice. Theres many guide's out there for this. Iv never tried to use it for the monitor tho.. yet

This is what I have as a replacement to my xenta set , not the cheapest of options but works great. The price has gone up £100 since I got em !!

try a piece of software called splashtop streamer google will get you the site
im asuming google tv box is android based as there is an app for that and install software on win7 pc
had this working on win 7 and a cheapo android tablet and it streamed from pc to tablet picture and sound worked well when watching sports etc
worth a try will only cost you a bit of time

Slightly old thread, so sorry for bumping but I think I can offer a fairly decent solution,

If I have understood the equipment correctly, then by running a DNLA server on the pc, the tv should be able to pick up the server.

I have used Mezzmo for some time now and it works pretty well for most requirements and can handle most video formats.
