this is a review of starsports.com india's online streaming service for premier league la liga cricket when available .
to sign up using your lappy you will need a vpn service for india and also you will need an indian address and postal codes as not all services are available to all regions check the area guide for the sports before signing up
a bit of googling will get you the address and postal code.
it may be different with an ipad or android app they are available but not tested by me (no ipad or suitable android tab)
price yes it is cheap epl works out to just over £5 for the season if you want epl and la liga it works out to just over £8 for the season , f1 is available as stand alone pricing and cricket is also available as stand alone pricing when available.
my day pass cost me the massive amount of 55 pence for one day cricket epl and la liga
just to note you can get to the site using hola unblocker and sign up BUT you can not subscribe or watch live you do need a vpn for this.
for the results
watched cricket it seemed ok BUT stream quality is low it was playing at 864kbits only has a max of 1.3mb so no hd quality was reasonable
now to premier league liverpool newcastle
this was bad constant buffering blocky and just over 200 kbits stream quality i refreshed rebooted logged out back in was no better may be the vpn forgot to speed test so can not comment got so bad i logged out .
did not try to watch a 3pm as matched my team on my own sub
evening la-liga barcelona game again stream quality was like cricket watchable was at max 1.3 mb no buffering or blocky aceptable quality
so in fairness i would say for the epl i would need to try again as it could be the fact that loads of viewers causing the stream quality to fail or maybe the same with my vpn
but cricket was acceptable and la-liga was acceptable it does not have the stream quality of prem league pass which just needs a smart dns and has a much higher bit rate stream quality
they answer at the moment is its cheap not a lot of money to risk but i still like to watch what i pay for and on saturday i could not say this as epl was unwatchable so the jury is still out .
i will test again just to see if its better
any one else used the site let us know

Aljazeera was the best I have seen with hola and chrome
Plp great but didn't always keep the picture quality

cheers maca can you use smart dns with this starsports ?
as i used witopis so mine was a bad day perhaps or could be the vpn restrictions
if you can use with smartdns from overplay will try again
i alays had problems with aj using hola worked once for me when smartdns didn.t then hd to use a vpn
but i lost my account anyway i found strwaming hit and miss on sat match days but better during the week
prem pass i found spot on but only had a free match day pass so can only comment about that

it would be vpn if he set it to India.

What??? I don't know why anyone uses overplay when there are great alternatives out there.

I have paid for 1 month with vpnoneclick and its totally unusable on my 100 meg connection there proxy/vpn speed to the uk is less than 200 kbps on the face of it starpsports is a bargain service but ive not been able to use it yet.
Tell me also the alternatives vpnoneclick works well

Ive tried connection via overplay smart dns, overplays global vpn, astrill vpn and vpnoneclick they where all far to slow to stream anything my connection is 100meg .

How are you using the vpn though? Are you using the software that comes with the provider or setting up PPTP connections in windows?
