Well as the new English and Scottish Premier League season is upon us allot of questions are being asked about the actual quality of the IPTV streaming and will it be close to HD satellite viewing for the EPL and SPL.

One of the main things you must take into consideration with IPTV Streaming is the cost, while we all want something for nothing in today's climate, this might pan out to be a mistake... Lets say we pay £50 for a whole season of EPL football and the providers give a sample iptv stream for you to test out...

If you was that provider would you not make the test iptv stream the best bandwidth for the potential customer? And remember you will only be looking at the stream for a few minutes to sample the quality.

I am also not saying that low cost IPTV streaming is going to be bad, but I would expect quality to be affected somewhere along the line. bandwidth is quite cheap nowadays so low cost IPTV streams could be a worthy option and when on a tight budget there is only one way to find out. Make sure you read the terms and conditions as a good iptv provider will refund you the difference if your service is poor.

Also you must take into consideration other factors like your broadband connection as I doubt you would want to pay for a monthly/annual sub and you have a dial modem @ 56k, even 1mb connection would be pushing it when streaming over iptv, the better your broadband the better IPTV feed you will have!

One way to go is word of mouth, we have allot of members here on digitalworldz that are using iptv satellite feed providers, and will be more than willing to point you to a good IPTV server that they are using, and over time as IPTV gets more popular we will be able to recommend more IPTV EPL providers.

The quality on IPTV will be dependant on bandwidth allocation to each slot (your viewing slot), remember football is also fast moving at times, and a bad IPTV stream will look like those all too familiar browser streams we have seen in the past and will get worse the bigger the television you are watching it on. Allot of providers are promoting HD like IPTV streams, and I am sure they will be... as we have actually seen some CRACKING streams in the past... but the english and scottish premier leagues are starting today! and we will soon know which streaming providers are the real deal or not!

Lastly as you are aware this is probably the latest way to watch football / soccer whatever you want to call it, at home for live 3pm kick off games, iptv streaming in it's infancy will take time to weed out the good from the bad! So if you can wait... why not wait a few games in and see what our members are saying about each providers before you depart with your hard earned cash.

Also worth noting is that most of the streams are located abroad and you will need to mask your DNS as it will be geolocked to a specific country (we are not discussing the legalities in this article) just making you aware that this will need to be factored into your budget.

^Just for you mick ;)

On the other hand its better than relying on an 18 year old sitting in his bedroom with 7 dodgy boxes trying to stream them all out trying to manage the load on multiple servers haha!

Its a professional outfit and a worldwide brand therefore they won't want to jeopardise their reputation so hopefully their service will live up too expectation.

do not know the quality but you can get a weeks trial sports entertainment and vod movies the channel lists look very similar to what some are selling on iptv services but works out alot cheaper
you can view on your laptop or theres an xbmc plugin available also a portal for mag 250 the mag 250 monthly price is more expensive for some reason
if in uk the site brings up restricted access but using firefox and hola changed to usa full description available looks like its based in turkey
may try a free weeks trial and report what its like next month

Yeah, it's awesome. Not hd but great quality. Can't see it being around for long though!

Now that we are well in to the season how have the various providers performed?

I'm with Al Jazeera and apart from the Saturday problems it has been fine quality wise. There's an initial15 seconds of blockiness when it starts but then it goes crystal clear and pretty much stays that way.

How have the others been?

How does this work, my understandung is you get a sub from an online source and then you can watch what ever football or sport your sub covers for a yearly fee? How much is it, is it english comentry, how good quality hd/sd and is it all games the way first row sports work

Good thread I just heard that BT are trialing a gigabyte service and expect to be moving swiftly onto further trials of a terabyte, incredible speeds for the not too distant future I hear that speeds are expected to treble every 18months.
