starview the box

Hi peps,

i'm really new to all this tech stuff but i got a problem and hope someone can help me. My box keeps coming up with bad or scrambled channels. I've entered new codes, the emu is set to ON. basicall i've tried every thing i've been told. Should i try this fireware as i've had no tv for the last week and a half. If so pls could someone take me through the process. I believe my settop is called The box super and version 8.0 on it. Help pls.
