Nico Rosberg retires

Re: Nicorisberg retires

just heard this on the radio, must admit I wasn't expecting it, I think Daniel Ricardo will come and join Lewis

Re: Nicorisberg retires

don't think that Alonso will partner lewis again

Re: Nicorisberg retires

The spoilt brat has got what he wanted now upsetting the Ham. Off ye go to the sunset Roseberg and take your toys with you.

Re: Nicorisberg retires

never seen that coming. but I understand where he is coming from tho, I see him as a family man and likes being home.
no point in being part of something if your heart isn't in it and driving must of taken its toll over the last few years with hammy being his team mate.

I'm glad he followed in his fathers foot steps and become a world champion .............

Re: Nicorisberg retires

So, who's going to have to put up with HamChav next year?

Max verstappen

but as Mercedes like to have a German driver in the team could be a young up and coming german driver to be given the chance .....

Re: Nicorisberg retires

Could be wherline or ocon, doubt it thought. Really think alonso might switch. It would make for a great season. The yanks are in f1 now. It will be like wwe before we know it.

Re: Nicorisberg retires

For once Rosberg has done something sensible, what options were there? There is no way Rosberg could have stayed at Mercedes after his antics this season, he wouldn't have chosen another seat, so retire at the top.

Re: Nicorisberg retires

Do you fancy driving an F1 car at 200+ mph?

I do, I have tried a formula ford and was useless (gears on the wrong side and really hard to shift) Not sure I would be much better than in an f1 car.

So do I, but the suggestion that Rosberg is a coward(now deleted thankfully) is nonsense.

Re: Nicorisberg retires

The drivers make it look easy, but I remember seeing one the top gear guys trying to drive an F1 benetton and struggling not to stall or spin it. :)
